English Immersion Camp 6th Form

This year, The English Immersion Camp, held at The Borough, Mercedes, has dealt with “The Amazing Race”, a popular TV programme in Europe.
So, for three days students not only practised their English but also lived it!
They spent an unique and memorable time with native speakers who were willing to share their traditions.
As a result, students danced an Irish dance, met Queen Elizabeth II, played cricket, baseball, American football and rugby and ate typical food from New Zealand, Australia and South Africa, among other amazing things.
It is an experience they would never forget that open their horizon and make them understand the cultural differences between us and the English speaking countries.

Este año el Campamento de Inmersión al Idioma, llevado a cabo en The Borough, Mercedes tuvo como temática “The Amazing Race”, programa televisivo popular en Europa.
Así que, durante tres días los alumnos no sólo practicaron la lengua inglesa sino que también la vivieron.
Como resultado de este intercambio, bailaron una danza irlandesa, entrevistaron a la Reina Isabel II, jugaron criquet, baseball, futbol americano y rugby y degustaron platos típicos de Nueva Zelanda, Australia y Sudáfrica.
Es una experiencia que nunca olvidarán, que les abre nuevos horizontes y los lleva a entender las diferencias culturales entre Argentina y los países de habla inglesa.
